Marysville Jazz and Blues Festival
The Marysville Jazz & Blues Weekend is a contemporary and traditional jazz and blues festival set in the idyllic and picturesque township of Marysville and surrounds. Only a few years old, this regionally significant event has acquired a strong following with attendance reaching over 1200. Great acts. Worth a visit.
Eltham Jazz, Food and Wine Festival
Eltham Jazz, Food and Wine festival combines three of our favourite things. Taking place in February, past programs have boasted a tremendous variety of quality music alongside an array of delicious food, and award-winning wines and beers. This is certainly a brilliant addition to anyone's musical calendar.
Inverloch Jazz Festival
South Gippsland's beautiful Bass Coast is the stunning location for the Inverloch Jazz Festival. This fab fest showcases dozens of bands in three venues right in the centre of town. The festival is held over the Labour Day weekend in March and is an outstanding festival full of great Jazz for a great cause in a great place! Be there.
Halls Gap Jazz Blues Festival
After many successful years, the Jazz Festival continues in the lovely valley of Halls Gap, ‘Heart of The Grampians’. However, it has changed in name and fixture dates to the last weekend of October each year. Weather at this new time of the year is beautiful & no other events clash with these dates. A small extra flavour of Blues has been added to all existing genres of jazz.
3 PBS 106.7FM
PBS has been a welcome home to jazz since its inception. With contemporary jazz, swing, Latin, fusion, lounge, free and vocal jazz on offer throughout the week, you’ll find jazz for every taste on PBS. Great supporters of Australian jazz, and favorites of Anita Harris and Friends, tune in and enjoy.
Showbiz Club Melbourne
The ShowBiz Social Club Is for people involved professionally, presently or in the past in the Entertainment Industry. They meet on the 4th Monday of the month for dinner. A short 10 minute meeting is followed by voluntary performances by our members and guests that sometimes ends up in a jam session.
Phillip Island Jazz Club and Festival
Throughout the year the terrific Phillip Island Jazz Club hosts live jazz on the third Sunday of each month. The festival itself is held over 3 days at the beautiful Ramada Resort on Phillip Island, with a wonderful range of musical acts celebrating all things jazz.
Port Fairy Jazz Festival
Held on the second weekend in February in the gorgeous coastal town of Port Fairy, this relative newcomer to the festival calendar was a huge success, A wonderful selection of bands on the program, terrific venues and organizers who performed flawlessly. This is one we hope will be around for a long time!
Mornington Jazz and Blues Festival
Street Corners, bars and restaurants come alive over the Queen’s Birthday Weekend, with the sights and sounds of the Mornington Winter Jazz & Blues Festival. With a host of talent, the festival showcases an exciting program mixing traditional and modern Jazz and Blues music performances. This festival has something for everyone.
Merimbula Jazz Festival
This long-running jazz is a remarkable achievement for a small seaside town in southern NSW. Merimbula offers a beautiful and welcoming location, marvelous venues, the ongoing support of many wonderful musicians and, of course, the support of Jazz Lovers who come from far and wide. Merimbula also holds a special place in Anita's heart as the first festival at which she performed to a jazz audience.
Australian Jazz Convention
The Australian Jazz Convention began in 1946 and has run continuously since then. The AJC is the longest running Convention of its kind in the world. It is held in a different town in Australia every year, beginning on the 26th December, and concluding on New Year's Eve (31st).
JOY 94.9FM
JOY's jazz show "Bent Notes" is certainly worth a listen, hitting the airways 7pm each Sunday, with a great music selection and terrific commentary. Of course if you're up early on a Sunday, "Women on Waves" at 9am offer an interesting and eclectic selection, including some jazz classics. Head to 94.9 and enjoy.

Ian Smith's "Mainly Trad" is still going strong every Tuesday, on Wednesdays the long running "Jazz At Nine" is presented by John Crighton and through the week there are some interesting and varied shows. Inner FM has been billed as the voice of Melbourne's Inner North East, but like many stations, programs stream live via the web.
Pippa Wilson
Longtime friend and fellow vocalist Pippa Wilson is a firm favorite among Melbourne Jazz buffs. From time to time Pippa and Anita perform together, collaborating on a number of jazz duets. Look out for their occasional shows together, generally billed as "Two Swinging Pitches" - Pippa Wilson and Anita Harris, together again.
